Overview

Ngāi Tahu Tourism is currently recruiting for our Placement Programme for Ngāi Tahu Maori School Leavers. This programme is designed for Ngāi Tahu whānui (rangatahi and pakeke) who are looking to build their confidence, gain real‑world experience, and explore a pathway into the tourism and hospitality industry.

Placements are available in locations including:

  • Takapō / Tekapo
  • Tāhuna / Queenstown
  • Waiau / Franz Josef
  • Te Anau
  • Fiordland
  • Rotorua
  • Taupō
  • Auckland

What’s on offer

  • Paid at Living Wage
  • Minimum 32 hours per week
  • Hands‑on experience across guest experience, operations, retail, and guiding support
  • Applications close: 5pm, 1 August 2026
