Be a catalyst for change in Mississauga with YMCA as a Newcomer Youth Advisor. Support newcomer youth in their settlement journey through engaging leadership development programming.
This full-time contract role is crucial for fostering community engagement among newcomer youth. You'll develop and deliver programs, recruit diverse participants, and collaborate with schools and community organizations. Your responsibilities include overseeing volunteer opportunities and ensuring effective outreach to meet the needs of youth and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Newcomer Youth Leadership Development programs
• Recruit diverse youth and manage program registrations
• Plan special NYLD events and family engagement activities
• Conduct community needs assessments and presentations
• Prepare monthly narrative reports for Immigration Canada
