The Network Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting an organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Perform network cabling, patching, and labeling
- Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems
- Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades
- Ensure network security by following best practices and company policies
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors for issue resolution
- Provide technical support to end users when required
