Role Description
1) Monitor Akamai DDoS dashboards and alarms; confirm anomalies and initiate mitigation playbooks.
2) Validate traffic scrubbing engagement and origin health during attacks.
3) Maintain allow/deny lists and rate limit policies as approved.
4) Run periodic DDoS readiness drills and document outcomes/lessons learned.
5) Ensure logs/metrics flow to SIEM and reconcile missing telemetry.
6) Coordinate with DNS and network teams for any routing/cutover steps.
7) Keep runbooks updated for onboarding new applications into protection.
8) Track mitigation SLAs and produce weekly incident summaries.
9) Validate edge certificates and TLS bindings in collaboration with PKI teams.
10) Escalate new or persistent attack vectors to vendor/L3 for tuning.
