Network Management Engineer – Midlands Control Centre

An opportunity is available for a Network Management Engineer based at the Midlands Control Centre in Pegasus, Castle Donington. Reporting to the Control Centre Operations Manager, this full‑time role offers hybrid working after the successful person demonstrates competency; hybrid workers should expect to be in the Control Centre a minimum of two days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan outages in an NGED area with due regard to system security and whole‑business operational requirements.
• Determine specific running arrangements for system faults and emergencies.
• Consider generator curtailment and network constraints in respect of outages and produce the year‑ahead plan, while considering 5‑ and 10‑year planning.
• Assess system security and actions necessary to maintain optimum security on the entire electrical distribution network.
