Network Engineer

Description

The primary focus of the position is supporting the campus network. However the engineer will be part of the enterprise network team and may be working tickets for anywhere in the enterprise. The engineer will also be in the on-call rotation which has about 20 people in it. They will be secondary 1 week and then primary 1 week. The technology stack is primarily Cisco catalyst and ISR's with some ACI. We do have Juniper in the core as well. Knowledge of BGP, OSPF is required. There are hardware refreshes that happen every year as gear is phased out/replaced -- How much depends on funding the agency has. While it doesn't require cloud networking, it would be beneficial. The client is moving toward Cisco SD-WAN so knowledge there is a plus. We use ServiceNow and SolarWinds. Scripting isn't required but we are moving toward automation for as much as possible so knowledge of those would be helpful.
