Network Administrator

POSITION PURPOSE:

Monitor and upgrade servers in order to ensure optimal performance and uptime

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure server uptime of a) Proactive patching of server software b) Keeping systems current on server software releases c) Proactively monitor system critical resources d) Communicate and document changes e) Effectively plan changes during off hours with contingency plans in place f) Supporting systems during off hours
Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols
Negotiating and administrating service contracts Ordering supplies and equipment Reviewing invoices for phones, printers, copiers and supplies ordered
