Roles and Responsibilities:
Role & responsibilities
- To Manage & Support Company's (VERITAS) Backup Environment/Setup
- Backup Admin is primarily required to:
- Monitor daily backup status, take required actions on failed/queued backups, as necessary & create/delete
- backup policies as requested.
- Troubleshooting of backup failures.
- Handle Tape Media Management.
- Prepare Backup Reports / Review Backup Policies / Collection and Maintenance of Data required for Audit
- (i.e. Audit Data Logs)
- Coordinate with Server Team / Application team as well as Backup vendor (SME) in case of issues unable to
- resolve locally.
- Have knowledge of Backup Support required during Application DC-DR drills / BCP drill.

- VERITAS NetBackup Appliance 5240.
