MRI Technologist

MRI Technologists are responsible for duties involved in the performance of clinical MRI exams including, but not limited to, patient screening for MRI safety, patient positioning, and coil and protocol selection. Graduate of a 24 month AMA approved radiologic technology program NYS License CPR Certified ARRT(MR) certification or Certification eligible Minimum of six months preferred as a registered MR Technologist Preparing and positioning patients for MRI of various parts of the body. Positioning includes setting up equipment (coils, monitoring devices, etc.) and patient in relation to each other to provide best demonstration of body part under study. Is able to lift and position all coils. Screening patients and personnel for any ferrous metal implants or other objects on them including credit cards and all potential missiles.
