MRI Tech Assistant

The MRI Imaging Assistant supports MRI operations through patient assistance, MRI safety screening, room and equipment preparation, and non-interpretive imaging tasks under the direction of an MRI Technologist. This role assists with positioning but does not perform image acquisition.

Essential functions include performing MRI safety screening for patients, personnel, and non-personnel; identifying safety risks and escalating concerns promptly. Basic patient-care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, assisting with patient transfers, supporting standard precautions, and preparing patients for MRI exams are also part of the role. The assistant must apply MRI safety principles, maintain controlled access to Zone III, and support compliance with MRI Safety Zones.
