Job Description
- Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) on components, welds, and structures to identify surface and near-surface defects.
- Conduct visual inspections before and after MPI testing.
- Prepare test surfaces by cleaning and removing contaminants.
- Apply magnetic fields and inspection media according to approved procedures.
- Identify, evaluate, and record defects such as cracks, seams, laps, and inclusions.
- Interpret inspection results and determine compliance with quality standards.
- Compile and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
- Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
- Calibrate, maintain, and verify MPI equipment to ensure accurate test results.
