Job Description
We're looking for an experienced React Native mobile developer to build the MVP for a competitive video app. Core features include: user authentication, short-form video upload, challenge creation, a dedicated Challenges page (browse challenges and choose to compete or vote), automated bracket pairing, head-to-head voting, leaderboard progression, commenting, and share functionality.
We also need a simple in-app energy system (daily energy allocation, energy earned through voting, and optional in-app purchases for additional energy).
Clean UX, smooth video performance, and scalable architecture are critical. No AI verification systems required for MVP. Focus is on building a fast, lean, consumer-ready beta.
User flow: Users browse challenges to enter or vote on. The Home feed is a reels-style scroll where each post is a split-screen matchup between two contestants. Users can tap either video to view it full-screen, then vote on the winner and swipe up to the next matchup.
