Mission Support Working Group

The Mission Support Working Group assesses applications for Mission Support grants from Indigenous Communities of faith and makes recommendations to the National Indigenous Council on apportions in accordance with the annual strategy and budget. Amongst other responsibilities, the working monitors prepares quarterly report narratives, develops an effective communication strategy, and ensures that the policies and procedures related to Mission Support grants are aligned with the principles and values outlined in the Calls to the Church.

Skills: 

We are looking for lay and ordered members who have knowledge of Indigenous community, culture and practices, as well as skills such as financial analysis, knowledge of good stewardship practices, knowledge of the United Church’s personnel policy, creative thinking, or an understanding of the complex nature of community ministry...
