McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the worlds largest high‑grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions‑free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
Position and Responsibilities
- Assist with underground construction, production drilling, backfilling, and general clean‑up.
- Be trained to operate a wide range of underground mobile equipment (Kubota side by side, Bobcat skid steer, 4‑yard and 6‑yard scoop tram, scissor deck, etc.).
- Be expected to learn the overall mining processes and follow all work instructions and procedures.
- Provide support to the mining department as required.
Requirements of the position
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
