Join St Barbara's Atlantic Operations team as a Mine Support Operator at the Touquoy mine in Nova Scotia. This full-time role focuses on equipment operation, safety protocols, and training new staff members.
As a crucial part of the mining team, you will report to the Site Supervisor while ensuring that all tasks adhere to safety guidelines. Responsibilities include performing operational checks, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in equipment readiness and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record detailed logs of operations and checks
• Ensure high housekeeping standards are met
• Provide mentorship and training for trainees
• Work with maintenance teams for equipment efficiency
• Monitor pump operations and perform equipment tasks
Requirements:
• Class 5 driver's license in good standing
• High School Graduation Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with heavy equipment in mining contexts
