Industrial Mechanic Millwright / Millwright Apprentice – reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager as part of an interdependent team in Welland, Ontario. The role ensures the operation of systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and troubleshooting technical aspects of equipment to support a 24/7 production schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe practices prior to working on any equipment to prevent harm to self and others.
• Enhance reliability of systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and troubleshooting technical aspects of the plant’s equipment.
• Install, maintain, dismantle, and overhaul machinery such as heavy mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, pulleys, mechanical clutches, gear boxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Control downtime by involving production workers in the company’s scheduled preventative maintenance plans.
