Job Description

Reporting to the Shift Lead Hand, Maintenance Lead, Pellet Mill Manager, the primary function is maintaining pellet manufacturing equipment and associated rolling stock at the Great Northern Timber Holdings wood pellet mill. Repairs and/or maintenance to be carried out in a time efficient manner, using proactive problem-solving of issues in order to avoid production downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production line equipment
  • Follow any and all safety and lockout procedures for the equipment used. Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the job and maintain it in good working condition.
  • Proactive communication with other operators and key Pellet Plant personnel.
  • Complete visual inspections of equipment to ensure good working condition, carry out repairs, check and replenish fluid levels, report any damage to equipment or buildings to Shift Lead Hand, Maintenance Lead and/or Pellet Mill Manager.
