Job Description
Start your journey as a Millwright Apprentice in Welland, Ontario with a focus on safety and technical skills. This full-time role promises hands-on experience in machine maintenance.
You will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and join a collaborative team. This position is ideal for individuals at least in their first year of their apprenticeship, eager to learn and contribute to maintenance tasks. Candidates should be prepared to engage in both preventative and reactive equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
• Participate in preventative maintenance planning
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints
• Provide coaching support to your peers
• Report equipment malfunctions to management
Requirements:
• Current enrolment in a Millwright apprenticeship
• Understanding of basic mechanical systems
• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts
• Capable of heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds)
