AltaSteel Inc. is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated 4th Year Millwright Apprentice to gain hands‑on experience in steel manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone safety‑mindful, eager to learn, and ready to build their career in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
As a Millwright Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced Journeypersons and plant engineers, supporting preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of pumps, seals, motors, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
- Work with Journeypersons, engineers, and operational staff to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Learn to interpret drawings, plans and determine best way of making machining repairs to minimize interruption to production.
