Overview

The main purpose of a Miller Assistant is to support the Head/Shift Miller in ensuring safe, hygienic, and efficient grain milling operations. They handle daily plant duties, monitor machinery, and perform quality control tests to produce high-quality flour.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor machine efficiency.
  • Check vitamin dosages and flour quality.
  • Assist Miller with maintenance of plantsifters, filters and conveyors.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Miller.
  • Prepare moisture and quality control when required.
  • Report deviation to the Miller.
  • Proactively prevent chokes and downtime.
  • Operate Mill Scada.
  • Flexibility to learn from the Silo, Lab and Packing to have a full understanding of the whole process.
  • Relieve Miller when necessary.
  • Maintain housekeeping.
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
