Job Description
Continuous recruitment for multiple full-time positions for general classroom support, 1:1 assignments and special education program classes. (Grades 6-8).
10 months per year. Follows the student calendar
Eligible for health and dental benefits, NYS Teachers' Retirement and holiday pay.
Job Qualifications
Must be eligible to apply for NYS Teaching Assistant certification.
In this job as a Paraprofessional, you may be required to complete the following tasks:
+ Lift, carry, pull up to 60 lbs.
+ Be outdoors for up to an hour year around in potentially inclement weather
+ Be on your feet and supervising consistently for up to an hour
+ Be able to run and keep up with a child
+ With training, operate a copier and complete classroom cutting and clerical tasks
+ Speak and communicate clearly with children
+ Be able to sit and get up from the floor or low seated position.
