SUMMARY:
Looking for a detail-oriented Microbiologist Lab Assistant with experience in media preparation, housekeeping, quality control testing, and general lab maintenance.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Media preparation

  • Assist with autoclaving of specimen bottles, labware etc daily to ensure sufficient for use.

  • Assist with preparation of working stock culture bottles, slants and deeps.
  • Responsible for preparation of liquid media as required per work schedule/weekly production plan.
  • Responsible for preparation of solid media as per weekly production plan and planned QC testing.
  • Responsible for batching, labelling, logging and storage of plates in cleanroom.
