SUMMARY:
Looking for a detail-oriented Microbiologist Lab Assistant with experience in media preparation, housekeeping, quality control testing, and general lab maintenance.
POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Media preparation
Assist with autoclaving of specimen bottles, labware etc daily to ensure sufficient for use.
Assist with preparation of working stock culture bottles, slants and deeps.
Responsible for preparation of liquid media as required per work schedule/weekly production plan.
Responsible for preparation of solid media as per weekly production plan and planned QC testing.
Responsible for batching, labelling, logging and storage of plates in cleanroom.
Assist Senior Microbiologist with routine QC testing (Fungi & Inoculants plants).
