Metrologist

Well established manufacturing company are looking for a qualified and experienced Metrologist applicant to join their Quality Department who will be responsible for fulfilling the requirements and duties of the Metrology Room.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Create Measuring Programs for measurement of new and existing wheels Provide effective feedback to all relevant departments, if dimensional deviations or defects identified Prepare APQP/PPAP/ISIR documentation according to Customer requirements Participate in Problem solving activities, FMEA/Control Plan Meetings (Part of APQP) Conduct Routine testing and Product audits Take the lead on Gauging designs, approval and also creating work instructions thereof Calibration – Maintain calibration status of all existing gauges and instruments – inclusive of physical verification of instruments in accordance with works instructions, as well as all relevant documentation.
