About the role


You will be a key point of contact for patients and referrers, managing a high volume of inbound calls while working closely with the wider practice team. You will also be required to step into front desk duties as needed, so some reception experience or willingness to learn is essential.

Key responsibilities

  • Answering and managing high volume inbound calls in the call centre

  • Booking, rescheduling and confirming patient appointments

  • Liaising with referrers, patients and internal teams to resolve enquiries

  • Accurately entering and updating patient information in practice systems

  • Stepping into front desk reception duties as required

  • Working collaboratively as part of the broader Port Macquarie team
  • About you

  • Previous experience in a medical reception or call centre environment (highly regarded)

  • Excellent phone manner and communication skil...
