Medical Assistant Trainee

UPMC in Central Pa is seeking motivated and enthusiastic candidates for our accelerated, full-time Medical Assistant Trainee Program!

Through this paid training program, selected candidates will enroll in a UPMC-paid Medical Assistant course. The program includes weekly clinical rotations, didactic skills modules, cost-free MA certification exam, and an externship placement at a UPMC Central PA outpatient clinic.

In exchange for enrollment in the Medical Assistant Trainee Program, selected candidates must agree to the following:

· A commitment to a 40-hour/work week and class schedule for 4 months. Classwork will be required additionally outside of these 40 hours.

· Mandatory attendance.

· A set hourly pay rate of $18.54/hour – non-negotiable.

· A commitment to remain employed at UPMC in Central PA- Health Services Division as a Full-Time Medical Assistant for a minimum of 18 months, beginning at the time of enrollment in the trainee progra...
