The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs advanced administrative, operational, customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment.

The Medical Assistant performs clinical responsibilities such as discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. The Medical Assistant also administers medications and vaccines, performs phlebotomy, and collects specimens. Additionally, the Medical Assistant performs diagnostic screening tests, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms. Furthermore, the Medical Assistant documents information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
