Sts'ailes Community School is looking for a Mechanics Teacher to inspire students in this 0.4 FTE position. Engage with learners and bring your mechanical expertise to the classroom.
This role offers an opportunity to teach at a BC accredited First Nations school located near Harrison Mills, BC. The ideal candidate will possess either a valid BC Ministry of Education Trades Certificate or a Professional Certificate, in addition to the recognized Red Seal or Certificate of Qualification in mechanics. Experience in teaching middle or secondary school students is vital for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver hands-on mechanics lessons to K-12 students
• Apply restitution-based classroom management techniques
• Promote a respectful learning environment
• Engage with students’ cultural and academic backgrounds
