Project Overview
Yanacocha WTP is located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru. It is the largest gold mine in South America and the project includes two large acid water treatment plants: the West plant with a 3,000 m³/h capacity and the East plant with a 2,700 m³/h capacity. Early works include permanent platform construction and work area preparation for both plants, as well as development of the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.
Job Summary
Lead mechanical discipline tasks in pre‑commissioning of the acid water treatment plants, overseeing pumping systems, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, high density sludge, oxidation reactors, lime plants, pumps, industrial air compressors and instrumentation. Coordinate with processes, instrumentation, control, electrical, and ES&H to ensure safety, efficiency and reliability.
