About the Role

Join our client's team on a major power station project! We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with welding capability to assist with generator decommissioning and installation works in a live operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical fitting tasks for generator decommissioning and installation
  • Confirm mechanical isolations and follow LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures
  • Drain fluids (coolant, oil, diesel) and remove services/exhaust pipework
  • Rigging and dogging for safe load movement
  • Interpret installation drawings and install generators, gas pipework, exhaust, and air intake systems
  • Complete basic welding tasks (cable trays, brackets, reinforcing mesh)
    • Skills & Tickets Required
  • Mechanical fitting experience in power station or heavy industrial projects
  • Welding competency (basic structural welding)
