The Engineer will provide technical direction and project leadership on the development of generator sets for Industrial and Mobile applications. The Engineer technical scope includes a working knowledge of thermodynamics, engines, static and dynamic stress analysis as well as an understanding of electrical theory. This role will coordinate and guide the efforts of CAD Design Analysts, Engineering Analysts and Lab Technicians. Choose materials and components which result in high quality, high performance, and cost-effective generators. This Engineer role will also research new and apply proven technology to designs. -Assist in establishing product strategy and requirements with Marketing Product Managers. Use those requirements to write functional specifications establishing design targets. -Create project timelines and budgets. Provide preliminary project spending estimates.
