Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsibilities
Design and develop structures, subassemblies, and mechanical components of truck and trailer bodies or ambulances using CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Inventor.Create detailed 3D models of sheet metal parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings with appropriate tolerances and material specifications.Perform engineering calculations and analyses (structural, load, and performance) to validate designs.Support production through technical drawings, BOMs, process documentation, and engineering change management.Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality departments to ensure design intent is maintained through production.Review and improve existing designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and durability.Research materials, components, and manufacturing methods for potential implementation...
