Mechanical & Dynamics Engineer

The Mechanical & Dynamics Engineer will be the in‑house expert for all Orbitworks structural analysis and testing. The primary focus will be spacecraft‑level analysis to ensure fastener and component stress margins of primary structures are compliant with our launch environment. The candidate will also identify justified notch requests through force‑limited methodology and correlate models to test results.

In addition to structural responsibilities, the role serves as a general mechanical engineer at the satellite level, conducting mechanical trade studies, vendor selection, mechanical layouts, interface design, drawings, and assembly & test. The engineer will review mechanical analysis and test results from suppliers and customer payloads. A strong understanding of satellite thermal design is desired; the engineer may be trained to perform thermal analysis to confirm acceptable temperature limits.
