About the Role:
BURN is currently seeking a mission-driven candidate as a Mechanical Design Intern .
Location: Kenya: Primary – Spring Valley Office, Secondary – Factory Ruiru
The role will primarily follow an onsite hybrid schedule , with time spent at both locations depending on project needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:Support mechanical design through CAD modelling of parts and sub-assemblies. Prepare simple 2D drawings and update existing documentation. Assist in concept development and iterations of product components, hardware testing Jigs, and fixtures. Actively support prototype fabrication (3D Printing, Sheet metal, Laser cutting, and assembly). Support and participate in Lab testing activities (mechanical & performance testing).
