Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to develop a handheld mechanical device using SolidWorks or Fusion 360. Dominion AeroWorks LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to convert an already-defined product architecture into engineering-grade CAD.
This is not a concept design project. The architecture, constraints, and operating philosophy are locked. Your role is to engineer and model the mechanism, not redesign it.
The device is a compact, non-electric, mechanically actuated handheld tool designed for high-cycle institutional use (aviation / defense / industrial).
You will produce parametric CAD models of the core mechanism and housing, including:
Primary housing / cap assembly
Axial punch mechanism with telescoping guard sleeve
Stored-energy actuation (spring, cam, over-center, or equivalent)
Internal latch and release interface
Assembly relationships and constraints
Section and cutaway views
Basic notes on tolerances and ...
