Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical building services systems for a variety of projects.
• Produce HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, and associated mechanical engineering designs.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, calculations, schedules, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate designs with electrical, wet services, fire protection, structural, civil, and architectural teams.
• Conduct site inspections and attend project and client meetings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant South African and international engineering standards.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, and programme management activities.
• Support the delivery of sustainable and energy-efficient engineering solutions.
• Review drawings and models produced by draughting and BIM teams.
• Assist in mentoring junior engineers and technicians where required.
