Mechanical Design Engineer

A Mechanical Design Engineer with good 3D CAD skills is needed to work for a busy manufacturing company in the Gateshead area

YOUR NEW JOB

Working in a small design team you will design enclosures and use the MRP system to create accurate BOM’s. You will be working on both new and existing product ranges and creating 3D mechanical designs and providing all manufacturing drawings to the operations teams. You will also monitor the progress of all undertaken mechanical design by holding regular design reviews with the aim to speed up product introduction and reduce design change costs. You will also ensure mechanical design solutions are viable and cost effective, utilising all available manufacturing methods

KEY SKILLS

The ideal candidate will have a HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline and experience of mechanical design of enclosures, fabrications and assemblies. You will need good 3D CAD skills (CREO, Inventor, Solidworks etc) and ...
