Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities and Deliverable Expectations: Perform Finite Element Analysis work of simple or complex nature. Perform general mechanical design work. Perform pressure vessel code calculations and designs Perform project management functions. Liaise with clients in a professional manner. Perform site inspections. Carry out project administration duties. Objectives: Short Term: In the short term, a person employed in this position should strive to become proficient with software's, analysis techniques and design codes frequently used in the design of mechanical equipment. Medium Term: In the medium term, a person employed in this position should be confident in their ability to perform and make decisions regarding the design of mechanical equipment in an independent capacity, with minimal input from senior engineers in the firm.
