Mechanical and Pressure Systems Lead Engineer (Technical Authority)

Our client is a North Sea operator currently recruiting for the position of Mechanical and Pressure Systems Lead Engineer (Technical Authority) on a permanent staff basis. Aberdeen based with hybrid working. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
Technical Leadership

• Lead a team of Mechanical engineers to ensure business priorities are delivered. Create a high performing team through effective coaching, performance management and annual assessments.
• Discipline head, ensuring discipline health across all areas of the business (Engineering, Operations, Projects) including competence assurance, technical guidance and direction, Risk Assessment and Management
• coaching/mentoring, development of team and succession planning. This includes managing an outsourced Lifting Technical Authority role.
• Subject matter expert and appointed Technical Authority for all aspects of the Mechanical and Pressure Systems discipline.
