Metateks Oy is an early-stage Finnish deep-tech startup developing non-wood feedstocks for fiber-based packaging. Our work focuses on material–process co-design, molded fiber technologies, and hands-on R&D aimed at creating next-generation biomaterials for applications such as fresh produce packaging within the regenerative economy.

Role Description

This is a foundational, hands-on role for a Materials Scientist / Process Engineer with expertise in molded fiber, joining a startup that is still in its exploratory and experimental phase. The work centers on practical laboratory development, rapid iteration, and advancing novel plant-based materials toward pilot-scale readiness.

We're looking for the right person who thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys building things from scratch, shaping the direction of the technology, and taking ownership of experimental development.
