Responsibilities
- The Materials Assistant is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services needed by the organization. This includes managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to meet production and operational needs. Plays a key role in ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with purchasing software or ERP systems.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
