Job Description
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)*
Develop and maintain an MRP system to forecast and schedule the material needs based on production plans.
Ensure that the necessary materials and components are available when needed to meet production schedules.
Adjust and revise material plans based on changes in demand, forecasts, or production issues.
- Inventory Management
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Optimize inventory turnover by balancing the need for materials against carrying costs.
Perform regular stock audits and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Supplier Management
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain good relationships with vendors.
Negotiate contracts, lead times, and order quantities with suppliers to optimize cost and reliability.
