Job Description
Job Title: Material Management Engineer
Overview: The main responsibility is to manage all materialdeliveries, storage, and issuance.
Detailed tasks:
1. Manage the warehouse team
Manage the team of storekeepers, warehouse assistants, material controllers.
Prepare team schedule.
Conduct daily team briefing, and weekly meetings
Prepare team action plans in Excel.
2. Preparation works
Manage the preparation of the warehouses and yards.
Ensure all storage facilities are operational, secured, and safe (barricaded, vermin-free, safety signage, firefighting, CCTV, protected against thefts, etc).
Source external warehouses, yards, equipment rental, etc
Source supplier for unloading (crane, forklifts, trucks, etc)
Update daily the Supplier documentation tracker. Coordinate with the Site team (QCs and Supervisors) to ensure all storage and handling manuals, packing lists are available and acceptable.
