Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler in South Shields. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are handled safely and efficiently. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
Operate forklifts (Counterbalance – B1 ) and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
Prepare materials for storage or shipment as required.
Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly.
Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate.
