Material Handler

The Material Handler works closely with the Production Supervisor to coordinate material movement on the production floor ensuring all work centres have the appropriate material staged for production based on work orders in support of customer delivery schedules in a multi-shift operation.

Key Accountability and Responsibilities

Material Handling (90%)

• The position is responsible picking and staging of production material and components required for work orders and for the movement and placement of material in designated work center areas.
• Issuing of hardware from stock to workorders.
• Receiving new inventory, move to appropriate storage locations such as metal racks, tools crib, assembly storage areas for raw material, semi-finished and painted components.
• Unloading inbound raw sheet steel inventory shipments.
