Material Engineer

The Material Engineer is responsible for the selection, testing, inspection, and approval of construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements. The role supports engineering and site teams by ensuring materials used meet technical, safety, and durability standards throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Review, evaluate, and approve material submittals in line with project specifications and standards. Conduct material inspections, testing, and quality checks at site, plant, or laboratory. Coordinate with QA/QC, consultants, suppliers, and site teams for material approvals and compliance. Ensure materials conform to relevant international standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO, ISO, etc.). Monitor storage, handling, and usage of materials to prevent damage or quality issues.
