The Ferrochrome Plant in Tornio is offering an exciting master's thesis position focused on improving yield in ferrochrome production. This is a great chance to combine academic research with real industrial experience in a globally recognized environment.
Your thesis will focus on:
- Investigating mass and chromium balance in FeCr material handling
- Studying process stages from casting to slag handling
- Building a mass & chromium balance model
- Creating campaign-based models for special grades
The work will partially take place on-site in Tornio, providing hands-on exposure to industrial operations. Some parts of the thesis can be carried out remotely.
