The Role
- Loading, clearing and navigating the vessel in all types of weather and traffic.
- Supervising and ensuring that all members of the deck, engineering and catering crew conduct their duties in accordance with policy and procedure regulations.
- Handling emergencies or unusual occurrences; taking responsibility for making on-the-spot decisions which safeguard the best interest of the vessel, passengers, crew and BC Ferries.
- Reviewing, noting and updating new information pertaining to Statutory Regulations and Corporate policies and procedures.
