The right candidates will hold a Mate Certificate and be proactive in managing deck operations while attending to navigational safety. Ensuring lifeboat equipment functionality and preparing detailed trip reports will be key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage safe navigational watch for the vessel
• Upkeep of deck and towing equipment
• Ensure proper inspection of lifesaving gear
• Prepare detailed voyage plans and log entries
• Monitor performance of electronic navigation tools
Requirements:
• Mate Certificate from Transport Canada essential
