Manual Machinist

This is a permanent opportunity working as part of a small, skilled production team. The role would suit someone with a genuine interest in precision machining, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work from 2D CAD drawings to tight tolerances.

The Role

As a Machinist, you will be responsible for machining a variety of high and low value metal and plastic components. You will work with manual machining equipment, producing parts to ISO tolerances and ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating manual lathes and milling machines
• Working with Colchester 600 manual lathes and 5000VS manual milling machines
• Using NC saws, manual lathes, and manual mills
• Machining components to tight tolerances, up to +/-0.005mm
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and 2D CAD drawings
